Caprica
Caprica is set in the Battlestar Galactica universe and will begin 58 years before the events in Battlestar. The show is about a world of success and excess. It revolves around two powerful families, the Adamas and the Graystones.
Happy Town is set in a small town in Minnesota. But don't be fooled by the "small town" description – there's going to be a lot of creepiness in this show, which is said to be a throwback to the Twin Peeks type of small town drama.
The show revolves around hired bodyguard Christopher Chance, the human target from the title. When high-profile clients fearing for their life come to visit him, he assimilates into their life, hoping to lure the killer into a false sense of security and getting them to reveal themselves.
Life Unexpected is one of those serious shows from the CW. Much in the same vein as shows like Gilmore Girls or 7th Heaven. Unlike the teen soaps 90210 or Gossip Girl, Life Unexpected is a family-centric drama that also has hints of comedy.
Remember the 1989 movie of the same name with Steve Martin and directed by Ron Howard? This new series will serve as an updated version of the film. The show follows the extended Braverman family in California.
This year, FOX is premiering a brand new show based on deja vu. Writer David Hudgins takes point on Past Life, a series inspired by M.J. Rose's book "The Reincarnationist”. The show will play like a police procedural, with two detectives investigating cases and trying to determine whether their clients are being influenced by their past lives.
It sounds like Gladiator meets Rome with Starz's new midseason epic drama, Spartacus: Blood and Sand. A period piece set in ancient Rome, Spartacus focuses on Rome's famous warrior. But don't be fooled, it's not all blood and sand. There's also ancient politics, corruption and fame. All the kick-ass things in life, wrapped up in a pretty toga.
